The deadline is pressing near for agencies to conform to the Trusted Internet Connections (TIC) initiative mandated by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
The TIC initiative requires that agencies consolidate to a target of 50 Internet points of presence (POPs). To handle this daunting task, agencies must inventory and document all existing external connections, define target inventory and architecture, and report on meeting specific milestones during the transition.
Lumeta’s industry-leading network assurance technology, IPsonar®, is a fully-automated, comprehensive solution that intelligently streamlines the transition process. With IPsonar, agencies can easily identify assets, ensure compliance with usage policies, and guarantee that the most complete and accurate information is under management.
Lumeta Network Connectivity Assessments (NCA) empower agencies to discover and map the Layer 3 (IP) network, secure zones, and all Internet connections. This intelligence allows you to:
- Identify and inventory all existing Internet connections
- Provide validation as connections are moved / changed / decommissioned
- Identify the true network perimeter to ensure properly managed entry points
- Determine where horizon boundaries exist
- Test router / firewall access controls to ensure compliance after network changes
