Lumeta’s Tom Price will host a Peer-to-Peer Session at RSA 2009 to Discuss Internet Mapping and how Corporate and Government IT Networks can Leverage the Technology

Somerset, NJ – March 24, 2009 – Lumeta, the leading provider of network discovery and visibility solutions for enterprises and government agencies, today announced that  Director of Product Management, Tom Price,  will host a peer-to-peer session at RSA 2009 titled: “Network Images are Worth a Thousand Words: Mapping the Internet and Intranets.” During the session, Price will highlight the company’s experiences in the ten years it has been gathering data on the topology of the Internet and explain how the technology works, why it’s important, and how the data is used.  He will also illustrate how the technology has been adopted for corporate and government networks and, by using it as a network discovery tool, how these organizations can routinely review all network devices and gain critical visibility into the pressing network management and security issues.

The session, which is scheduled to last 50 minutes, will take plane on Wednesday, April 22nd at 9:10 a.m. PDT at the Moscone Center, in San Francisco, CA.  Limited to 25 participants on a first-come, first-serve basis, the session will allow attendees to engage in small-group dialogue and problem solving, create a set of topics that are “top of mind,” and potentially target areas not covered in the larger track sessions during the event.
