Extends Market Leadership in Network Vulnerability Management for Complex IP Networks

Somerset, NJ – November 7, 2005 – Lumeta, the leading provider of network intelligence for enterprises and government agencies, today announced that it is participating in the Moonv6 IPv6 project. Moonv6 is the largest permanently deployed multi-vendor IPv6 network in the world. The project is part of a global effort led by the North American IPv6 Task Force to enhance awareness of IPv6 standards and technologies. Lumeta will be the first vendor to map all peering points and connections that form the Moonv6 network to isolate the presence of any network security vulnerabilities and to demonstrate that the project network is, in fact, a secure environment for testing IPv6 applications.

A large testing event for IPv6 is taking place this month that focuses on IPv6 Capability (Conformance, Performance, Functionality, and Interoperability) of Global Information Grid – Bandwidth Expansion (GIG-BE) Core and Edge-like devices, and generic Wide Area Network (WAN) demonstrations of the technology. Lumeta will conduct remote IPv6 mapping from Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, using an IPv6 based prototype of its IPsonar network intelligence software.

“Lumeta is widely recognized as the industry leader in network vulnerability management for IPv4 networks and is on the forefront of research into the challenges associated with protecting IPv6 networks,” said Karl Siil, Chief Architect for Lumeta. “For IPv6 networks to be accepted, network and security managers must be able to demonstrate that IPv6 network defenses are measurable and manageable.”

About Moonv6
The Moonv6 project is a global effort led by the North American IPv6 Task Force (NAv6TF) involving the University of New Hampshire - InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL), Internet2, vendors, service providers and regional IPv6 Forum Task Force network pilots worldwide. Taking place across the U.S. at multiple locations, the Moonv6 project is the largest permanently deployed multi-vendor IPv6 network in the world. The U.S. Government's Department of Defense (DoD) Joint Interoperability Testing Command (JITC) and other government agencies, the Defense Research & Engineering Network (DREN) and the High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP) also play significant roles in the Moonv6 demonstrations ensuring DoD interoperability and migration objectives are identified and demonstrated. About Lumeta Corporation
Lumeta provides large enterprises and government agencies with the global visibility needed to quantify network risk and measure the impact of network change. Our network assurance solutions enable IT organizations to deploy new business services, maintain existing service levels and minimize network security risk to ensure compliant operations.

Lumeta's flagship product, IPsonar, is the industry's only solution that allows organizations to measure risk from a global network perspective. IPsonar maps every asset on a network--including assets not currently under management--visualizes the connectivity between assets and networks to uncover risk patterns and policy weaknesses, and enables network and security teams to bring unknown assets under management while deploying security technology more effectively to mitigate risk.
