New capabilities in IPsonar 3.7 include:

• Automated Self-Tuning of Discovery Parameters

Automated self-tuning of select scan parameters during discovery deepens IPsonar’s ability to automatically adjust scan rate and other critical scan parameters based on real-time feedback during discovery phases. By automatically sensing the scale and breadth of an enterprise network and adjusting to varying network conditions, IPsonar can more quickly and accurately scan even the largest networks in the world.

• Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Support for Distributed IPsonar Software Components

IPsonar now supports the use of digital certificates for all internal IPsonar communications in enterprise networks that require the very highest levels of both user and software authentication. New PKI capabilities within IPsonar provide a comprehensive solution for administrating and controlling the use of digital certificates.

• New Diagnostics and Monitor Logs for Distributed IPsonar Deployments

In order to simplify the centralized management of IPsonar appliances, advanced diagnostic and status monitor logging provides contextual perspective on a wider range of scanning and reporting activities. Greater real-time visibility into distributed IPsonar deployments in enterprise networks helps ensure that IPsonar administrators can more easily tune scan parameters for subsequent network intelligence gathering efforts.

• Remote Patch Management of IPsonar Report and Scan Servers

In support of the growing customer demand for distributed IPsonar Scan Server appliances, Lumeta is introducing remote software patch management capabilities for both IPsonar Report Servers and Scan Servers. With IPsonar 3.7, application patches can be centrally managed and distributed to IPsonar appliances throughout an enterprise network in order to better support the increased use of IPsonar as part of 7 day / 24 hour security and networking operations.
