Lumeta Announces Key Executive Team Promotions
Matt Webster Moves up to CTO
Somerset, NJ – July 31, 2013 – Lumeta Corporation, the pioneer in network discovery, visualization and network leak detection, has announced the promotion of Matt Webster to Chief Technology Officer from his position as Vice President of Product Management. In addition, Bill Robinson has been promoted to Vice President of Development.
As CTO, Webster will collaborate with executive management to define and maintain product strategies that support Lumeta’s blueprint for growth and deliver on the Company vision. He will remain well versed in current technology and industry trends while using his technical acumen to uncover, evaluate and develop new concepts and products to satisfy customer demand and strengthen the Company’s competitive edge. Webster will research, evaluate and drive the Company’s road-map to growth. His in-depth knowledge of the network security industry and his expertise in designing and planning complex IT infrastructures will keep Lumeta ahead of the curve. He will also engage with technology partners on integration initiatives to achieve current and future business goals.
Webster will act as the Company evangelist and function as the primary liaison for industry analysts regarding technical questions. He is an active participant in the Trusted Computing Group where he Co-Chairs the Trusted Network Connect Adoption Work Group. In addition, Webster oversees Lumeta’s research group focusing on advancements in network discovery and mapping, as well as Lumeta’s long-term research project on Internet Mapping.
Webster began his career with Lumeta in 2004 as Managing Consultant, helping Lumeta deliver its discovery solutions to international markets. Prior to his appointment as CTO, he served as the Company’s Vice President of Product Management and previously headed up sales engineering and technology alliances. He has over 20 years experience in network architecture/design, network operations, security management and transformation/transition management, having held senior IT and service support positions with leading companies including AT&T and BankOne (Chase).
In other Lumeta management team news, Bill Robinson has been promoted to Vice President of Development. Bill has 20 years of experience in leadership delivering software. In his time with Lumeta, Bill has been involved with all aspects of developing Lumeta’s product line as Senior Software Engineer, Team Lead, and Director. Before joining Lumeta, Bill was involved in the design and development for companies such as Bloomberg LP and MLB Advanced Media, along with a variety of smaller companies across vertical markets. Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The College of New Jersey.
